CATTLE FARMING & MEAT PROCESSING PLANT
PUFS aims to establish a state of the art meat processing plant along with a modern abattoir/slaughterhouse which will be capable of meeting international standards while keeping in view the Islamic traditions of Halal food requirements. The plant will be maintained at a high level of hygiene by keeping it free of polluted blood, intestinal contents & dirty effluents and exercising strict protection against insects & germs. The abattoir/slaughterhouses will be operated by trained and technical staff as well as in-house veterinary personnel. Furthermore it is planned that the plant will be comprehensively equipped for by-product processing, cold storage chill rooms facilities and ancillary services.
POULTRY FARMING & ENVIRONMENTALLY CONTROLLED HOUSES
PUFS plans to convert its semi-intensive poultry farms to a fully environmental controlled housing system that will be equipped with an extensive line of poultry equipment & supplies. The houses will be renovated to larger dimensions, ceilings will be equipped with dropped insulation and the side walls will be converted to solid walls. The existing ventilation system will be upgraded by the installation of circulation/paddle fans, air inlets and an evaporative cooling system. Electronic controllers will be employed to monitor house environmental conditions and adjusts the heating, ventilation and cooling equipment as necessary. An alarm system and emergency generators will also be made available to prevent losses in case of power failures.
FISH FARMING & RECIRCULATING AQUACULTURE SYSTEM
PUFS intends to transform its extensive traditional pond fish farms to intensive recirculating aquaculture production systems (RASs) while sustaining natural resources to improve water management and nutrient recycling. The system planned is one that will be based on modular concept, designed to be extremely flexible and will be capable of handling multiple species of fish. It will be essentially a closed system which involves fish housing tanks, filtration, water treatment system and will result in noted growth & greater yield & quality. Fully automated and state-of-the art controlling & monitoring equipment will installed to continuously filter/recycle water and decrease disease occurrences while minimizing ecological impact.
